The thing that strikes me about the ITV website is how it seems to be stuck several years behind the other main broadcasters' sites, in that they haven't managed to come up with some kind of programme database. The BBC's is by far the best and most comprehensive, producing a permanent page for every episode of every programme broadcast across the corporation, but Channel 4 and even Channel 5 have also managed to come up with their own versions, driven largely by the need for some supporting infrastructure for their on demand services, resulting in standardised websites for all or most of their programmes.
ITV's website, however, seem to be stuck where the BBC website was about five years ago, where they are still building individual, standalone sites for their main shows (what the BBC internet blogs often describe as 'silos'), the result of which means there feels a complete lack of coherence across the ITV website. It seems strange that it hasn't appear to have occured to ITV that creating a programme database of their own might be a good idea, with which they can then build their programme websites around, and would ultimately save them money in the long run by not having to make a bespoke website for each of their shows.
