Essentially it was a constantly updated live feed of new news stories from both the national and regional news. There was a scroll bar at the top that let you move back in hours to stories that were released earlier in the day. It should be released by December I think.

The ITV Player website will now conform to the ITV.com generic look (header, etc) - so that's good news.
It also looks quite a bit cleaner than the current site.

So the ITV News website will have continuous updates throughout the day, some trial period if you like of this system has taken place with updates throughout the day being posted.
