ITV Player launched on Android. iOS to launch soon.

Presumably they can tell when you're in Scotland or Northern Ireland then?

Yeah I would imagine they'll be able to tell via your IP Address if your in Scotland, England, Wales or NI. But NI and Scotland have their own anyway, STV Player and UTV Player, so it shouldn't make much odds for programmes that are on ITV1.

Scotland has its IP Address? That's a new one. I always thought it was just UK.

So did I. I assumed the app would use the GPS (I'm assuming Androids have that) or something to tell where you are.

Lots of problems on the site tonight. Homepage not even loading, old holding page for ITV News loading, sports page not loading, old tv shows page loading and lots of server errors bits where ads should be.

Just been having more of a look round the site and many old style pages are loading including old ITV1 & ITV2 sites. Wonder what is going on?

The site seems to be working okay for me.

I agree though there are many many pages still using the old style which need updating, but I guess it takes time.

I don't know how long the ITV Live page has looked like this - http://www.itv.com/itvlive/ - but I like it.

ITV.com appears to have lost its header, and messing up the layout.

Don't know if this belongs in this thread or the ITV discussion thread, but the ITV Player has arrived on iPhone & iPad, and is actually rather good.
