Not a big fan of the pages tbh, they look very much out of place without a full background. The news blogs, weather pages and news specials (The Cuts, Tour Of Duty) have not been centre aligned. The sub menu on the page also looks a bit mis-mashed too. There is also something wrong with the formatting at some links like presenter blog images have got a blue link rather than a yellow one.
I hope this isn't it for the news page and certainly wish it isn't left like it is, the original website revamp article said that the news site would get a new look. I would be greatly disappointed if this was it.

Hmm. The right hand long advert completely ruins the ITV News page. I end up with horizontal scrollbars and I'm running on a pretty high resolution here.
I agree, I hope this is just an interim change and not the permanent look for the ITV News site - I'd be very disappointed.
I've said before - they would be better off just linking to ITN's website. ITV's seems to have so little news on it anyway.

It looks ridiculous to be perfectly honest, so out of place!
I think the problem comes down with design and flexibility. ITV News can't update a story without having a video, something which would appear to me as restricting. If there is not a clip of somewhat to publish they cant publish the story. The whole news site seems dependent on a video when in actual fact the video should just be an extra source of information with the text being the main focus of the site. It always comes to me as soem on demand catch up service.
The scroll based text next to story isn't that great as to read a story you have to constantly scroll, with this years earlier budget all the measures were posted in the text bar and to sit there and scroll through isn't that accessible. I believe that they could take a lesson out the royal wedding website, although the site is dependent on video for stories at least the text is on one page and doesn't require endless scrolling.
Although linking would always mean a direct link to the latest stories I would still like to have news on the main ITV News website, taking that away would downgrade the amount of services available away from ITV News.

www.itv.com/formula1 now has the new centre-aligned style. Not sure how long it's been like that.

Ooh I really like that!
Thing I can't understand is, why would they change Formula 1 site before the Football site??!

That must have just happened.
About as inspiring as the ITV News centre align "relaunch".
Why do the regional news sites still have the blue look? It's been yellow & black onscreen for ages now.
ITV regional sites get centre alignment, although some problems with the lining of the objects.

I really do hope that we do see a new look on both the national and local websites, I guess the sites have still retained the blue look as when they were being made the teal look was still current and like everything on ITV.com design change takes forever!
Other websites have been revamped although I am very disappointed at the Emmerdale website-you would think they were give it some sort of unique identity. With the other TV Show sites that have retained their old look but have been centre aligned hope that ITV.com do not seen this as job done. From my point a view we are no where near that stage yet.

Just a case of bad timing with the regional sites. They launched weeks prior to the "brand realignment" with their new backgrounds having already been given a teal/blue effect.
They've managed to integrate some yellow and black into the page elements since so I suspect they'll consider that job done; I seriously doubt they'll give much of a toss in relation to consistent branding and the regions.
