So it appears that they are gradually adding the new menu to every page, ITV 2 site and Britain's Got Talent have been updated.
While looking at the ITV 2 I am impressed with the amount of effort and content that has gone into the Only Way Is Essex site-shame they cant have this much effort with every page.

The Corrie site now looks amazing with the new header and footer. Just get rid of the horrid Popular Links bar!
Britain's Got Talent looks alright but where's the search bar? I hope they haven't omitted it because BGT has its own site search.
If I were handling this revamp, this would be next:
First and foremost, new ITV Player! It should come in line with the new masthead, keep its dark background but receive a new, slick theme. I'd like to see a larger video window with a new video player that supports HD streams of high definition shows, a better "lights out" feature which actually goes dark rather than a distracting grey, much better navigation and show discovery and social links. Yes it sounds a lot - but it's necessary. They should be aiming that high.
ITV Player needs to kick arse like the iPlayer. It will be one of the best investments they've made in years, having a truly usable, enjoyable internet TV service. If they can seriously change their fortunes and make their service as attractive, as "natural" as iPlayer, it could start providing an even healthier income.
Then immediately move on to/simultaneously work on:
* New centre-aligned News site with more written articles, higher resolution images, video from ITV News, social streams from ITV News Twitter etc
* Like above, a new Sports site - centre aligned with the new masthead, bringing everything under the same design (F1, Football etc) and culling what is not any use
* A new Emmerdale site (the current one uses VERY old gen templating, it's shocking!)
* An updated TV Shows page (bigger thumbnails, more featured shows and better navigation)
And finally - big changes:
* Massive, massive purge of unneeded pages/sites. Anything archaic or irrelevant is sent to internet heaven. Then work on replacing any deleted pages/sites with smaller ones/nostalgia sections etc.
* Organise those sites that remain directory wise on the server. All shows should be www.itv.com/showname, etc. None of the www.itv.com/Drama/premieres/Monroe/site or whatever (made up example, but you get the gist). Get everything in order and cognitive to the userbase.
* Ensure every single page on the entire site has the new masthead and footer AND that it is dynamic if possible (so if they update it on one site it updates on all of them - I have a feeling it's not been fully dynamic in even the most recent designs)
At this point ITV.com would finally be good to go.
Will never happen though.

Rooting through the ITV website today, I was surprised to see they've updated The Zone page with the new look (link is in the itv.com footer):
http://www.itv.com/thezone
However, they have a frame on that page that's meant to show something from Challenge Jackpot's website but shows a setup wizard for Pressflow - http://assets.challengejackpot.com/install.php?profile=default
Hmm.
Although minor pages like The Zone have the new look main pages like Contact Us - http://www.itv.com/contactus - don't. The Contact Us page also has a link to http://www.itv.com/ClassicTVshows/default.html on it, which none of the videos seem to work on anymore...

Well at least they are keeping the design consistent now.

I've been reading through some early pages on this thread and I've been trying to view the site as it was back then on webarchive but it is being so slow and laggy today so not having much luck seeing what the site looked like back in 2006/7 and most of the screencaps posted on the forum no longer work.
Anyone know anywhere I can view what the site looked like in 2006 and 2007?

Have CITV always been on ITV Player?

I think they have only begun doing this recently. It seems that CITV show websites are being hosted on ITV.com rather than CITV's website which creates a bit of a mish mash as links are all over the place. For example the Horid Henry Website is at ITV.com but then games for the show are at CITV.

At least all the new website designs are following a consistent design now!
On another note I notice that ITV regional pages are having a few problems in updating there news pages with the latest stories. I imagine this is another technical fault-something that seems occurs every few months or so!
Not a very god sign at all.
On second thoughts a quiet stage while they update the regional websites with a new design...hmm wishful thinking but highly unlikely.

I'm beginning to like the new ITV website design now.
Hopefully all the pages will be updated eventually and everything will be consistent.
There does seem to be some issues with the homepage loading sometimes - sometimes I only get part of the top slider pictures loading or only some of the bottom slider pictures loading.
I liked the background they had for Britain's Got Talent the other day - looked better than the drab grey/black.
I still feel it would work better if they had the top advert moved underneath the menu bar on all pages so the page doesn't shift down when leaving the homepage as it looks a bit odd.
The ITV Forums have such an old design and are desperately in need of a new look!
ITV Player website integration would be nice too.
