The new itv.com homepage is online. Must have been launched first thing this morning.. I swear it wasn't there when I looked before bed. Nothing Web 2.0 about it but much better. wonder when other sections receive an overhaul - I can see them slapping the new navigation/footer on old pages though

Just checked www.itv.com homepage - looks exactly the same to me...?

They do seem to be having some issues though - it took about a dozen refreshes to get any sort of response from the site.

Still seeing old homepage, new ITV1 channel page is working fine, ITV3 and ITV4 pages are not loading, TV Guide is half loading.

Was hoping they would relaunch the whole website together, now we are going to keep having the same problems, some pages get updated quickly, others take a while and some never get updated!!

So they're not using the itv.com logo are they now? Just a white ITV logo. Wonder what that will mean for itv.com pres on TV?

And as soon as I post that, the new look homepage is now working.

I'm glad they have pushed the main nav bar right to the top and removed that ad, looks so much neater. Hopefully they will do that on all sites soon!

The whole page is looking neater and more streamline, and more modern. Will have a better look round though.

Seems a bit intermittent to me - sometimes the homepage loads and sometimes it just times out. I'll give it a while!

From what I have seen - now the new homepage has launched - I quite like it. It looks much more streamlined and less cluttered, and a bit more modern.

I guess it's an improvement, but it's all a little bit grey. It needs some spark like the ITV Player site! And it looks like a poorer version of channel5.com (the homepage layout is virtually identical).

Looks like it's the end of the "itv.com" logo.

The website is loading a lot faster now so I guess they've sorted out the problems from earlier.

Initial thoughts:

- Much less cluttered

- It is quite dark (perhaps it would have been better with a white background on the top menu with black text?)

- Still no integration of ITV Player into the main site (why does it have to be on a separate site with a different layout?)

- It would be better if they removed the top banner ad from all of the subpages and moved it elsewhere like they have on the homepage as having the top menu shifting down when going to pages is a little odd, or at least move it so it appears under the top menu not above

- ITV1/3/4 pages are nice but why have they left ITV2 with an old look?

- Will be interesting to see how they roll this out across subsites like Daybreak, This Morning, etc

Also, the ITV1 live stream at http://www.itv.com/itv1/ looks like it's 4:3 stretched to 16:9 frame...

A massive improvement to the old homepage but the inconsistencies with all the pages is just letting itself down. Even the new Britain's got talent website does not contain the new menu so from a visitors point a view does not come across well.

And I hope the similarities of the menu and homepage to that of channel 5's website stay at that and would hope that new designed pages would be different to channel 5 programme pages.

A big improvement over the old one (it is very Channel 5 though!) but I just wish they'd done it all at once - they haven't learnt that just redesigning the homepage regularly doesn't make the site any better. And I really think ITV Player should be fully integrated in some way - fair enough have the stand-alone site, but it just feels detached in the current arrangement.
