The NEW ITV Tyne Tees website is coming...
After reading some of the posts made on this thread I contacted ITV Tyne Tees and have learnt that a new site will be launching in January. I have been asked not to say too much but basically they have said the old site was too out of date and a waste of time so have built a new one from scratch.

About the new site...
Links will work and there will be up to date logos and correct image sizing. She said she could understand people's frustration. She said "It has been awful for me to try and create a better site yet being criticised for the old one which I had no hand in."

My view
Lets be optimistic about this guys, the new team at ITV Tyne Tees should know what they are doing (hopefully thats why they have been appointed there) and instead of updating old tat they have designed a new one for us.

Lets reserve judgement until we see the new one and post constructive criticism (if required) rather than the petty squabbling we have seen over ITVRegions.com or about the new site.

ITVRegions.com is really bad, and is poorly presented

Oh and I forgot to mention that apparently they hate the ITVregions.com websites.
The woman told me in the email - thats why they are keeping their own one - but revamping it.

They're revamping the Tyne Tees website?!

How did this nugget of information get past unnoticed?

Well like getting re-done. (But from scratch)

i don't know why they even bother with "regional" websites, the regional anglia one has maybe 6 new stories (which are very brief, and not worth reading) and perhaps a couple of links to the few programmes exclusively shown in the anglia region.

the whole itv website structure needs a massive overhaul to make it into a usable resource, at the minute its a hotchpotch of styles and layouts.

if the resources were pooled like this, i think the whole thing would be much better.
