It looks great. It's a very clever design to have the logo split up in two.
They're only copying the BBC.
Even though it is the norm to have vertical and horizontal versions of logos designed in absolutely any industry. The BBC (News) have only adopted a vertical logo in the mid to late 00's...
Looking fantastic. On a related note re: the whole ITV website - in the footer why is the ITV Encore logo in black and the rest of the channel logos are white? Looks nasty.
Must've been a mistake that's now been fixed. It's white now like the rest of them.
Not on mine it isn't (even after a force refresh). Black in IE, white in Firefox. Caches emptied - no difference.
As far as I can determine, the channel logos are created by embedded codes within the style sheet and aren't downloaded images such as png or gif. I can only assume that IE is rendering the Encore logo's incorrectly compared to other browsers.
It looks like they are image files, but SVGs, so are rendered by the browser as you say. Presumably they have a filter added to alter the colour, and that it why it isn't showing up correctly for some.
