I think this is worthy of its own thread. Didn't ITV plan a ITV News app, I am sure I read it on a business site somewhere. Was this true? And if so, have they scrapped these plans?

why do they need an app when they have a perfectly working mobile site. Just add it as a favourite on your homescreen.

Worth noting that ITV News Channel have a mobile app for iPhone's.

Indeed, for iOS if you save it to your homescreen, it then opens in Safari with no trace of Safari at all, making it look like a real App, it's rather good, the only fault is when you exit the app or go back a page it just starts right at the top of the main headlines page.
