ITV Local

Might aswell shut ITV Local down now. I have checked Meridian, London, Central, Anglia, West/Westcountry, Wales, Granada, And Border/Tynetess, all of these have not been updated since yesterday or Friday. So I wonder what will happen with out local news sites if there are any.

ITV Local is to close as from tomorrow morning (Tuesday). They've not wasted any time have they?!

Well that is a great shame, what a complete shambles it all is. All those clips and photos on the your news section were fascinating, all gone. The webcams also, all gone

Ermm.. well London hasn't been updated since Friday.

So ITV Local hasn't actually closed, its just being moved over to itv.com?

Yes and No, ITV Local is now on ITV.com but ITVLocal.com is closed and we probably wont get the same ammount of video content.

Hopefully it will won't require Internet Explorer to work properly when the regional sections relaunch.

Some of the live cameras are still working. Probably not for long though. That was the only part of itvlocal that I used.

They never said that it was going to close, just that it was going to be integrated with the rest of their website.

I never got any of the videos on itvlocal.com to work, hopefully the replacement will be better

Ah so it's going to be re-launched. To close it down would be a real backward step. Should see flash vdeo this time so OSX compatable...

Though with the damage made to Meridian now I'm not too interested myself what they do really
