I found it very strange that there using old ITV regional names

I've just been watching th promo on ITV Local and a really funny moment happens in it. Go to 00:35 in the player and listen. When a clip of Meridian Tonight with Fred Dineage and Carolyn Sim comes up, she says something like "Shocking, unprecedented and a failure in management from top to bottom."

She may be saying something about ITV there...

I've tried watching ITV Local reports & all I get is sound.(The same happened with the ITV Play stream)

How do you get the pictures?

Are you using Firefox? If you are it doesn't work properly and all you get is sound (not sure how you solve it but maybe someone else does?). Its seems to work fine on IE though.

XP with Service Pack 2 etc etc & IE7 is my setup.

People at work bang on about Firefox & Thunderbird, but I know where I am with the 'standard' setup!

What versh of Windows Meeja Player are you using?

9 or higher should give you the best flavours.

I think half the idea of ITV Local is they're making a bit of a comeback.

I had a surprise Today when I noticed Granada has finally been added to ITV Local, including Interviews with Lucy Meacock, Tony Morris and Fred Talbot.

There is also a Behind The Scenes look at Granada Reports.

ITV Local Wales has also launched with Lleol Cymru at the side. With some other welsh stuff.

So ... there's a webcam pointed at the main bell inside St. Stephens Tower is there?

...not "officially" launched yet, that would be end of this week/early next week. Softlaunch / test phase.
