All very meh. The ITV homepage now just basically the ITV Player landing page. Making it even harder to find programme specific websites of which there are very few anyway.

No links to the main news headline, just a link to the ITV News website. Sport seemingly sidelined completely but they never made any effort there anyway.

So the same mess C4 made then. Fair to say as far as programming websites are concerned their best days are behind them - nowadays it's a Twitter feed and the last few episodes.

Launched on Android too - looks nice enough and easy to get to the live streams - no pre-roll ads for me there other than the ITV Hub "come on in" sting.

Am I the only one who likes it? Embarassed

Much better design that that dreadful "dump text wherever you like on the page" with all that white space.

Does the job for what it's meant to - clean, nice to look at, easy to watch on demand and live TV, nice news website, etc.

It's appeared on BTTV YouView during the day, higher bit rate I'd say than previous player, but still SD only. Having to sign in online or on Apps is annoying as anything. Nothing to attact me to 'come on in'. Major downer.

Been told the Amazon Fire version of ITV Player has been a simple rebranding of the logo.

The NOW TV box app is still branded as ITV Player, with videos with the ITV Hub intro.

My NOW TV Box has changed to the ITV Hub. Bar cosmetic changes and a slight improvement in PQ, the awful navigation remains.

I actually like the name of the on-demand service. It's more original than saying Player at the end of saying the channel's name. I wonder how long it'll take for other networks to steal the "Hub" name.

Seems content protection is being launched on ITV HUB....

This from YouView describing one feature of the latest software release.....

This latest software contains updates to the content security for On Demand players on the box. This means that the content in the ITV Hub will only work when played through an HDMI cable connected to the TV. If using a SCART cable the content will not playback and you will receive a blank screen, with the audio playing and an ITV logo on screen.

The only thing I like so far is the downscaled ITV2-4 HD streams are better than the Freeview DVB-T one via the NOW TV box.

The PC live streams look 360p.

I noticed this evening that ITV Hub has replaced ITV Player on the Sky Catch Up TV service.

The use of white in the selection screens is a little bright . . . Shocked
