I have just put up a webpage with some of my favourite out-takes from the various It'll Be Alright On The Night shows... you can find it at :-

These shows have really tickled my funny bone over the years... most of the cock-ups I've put there involved TV news and presentation.
Anyway let me know what you think by replying to this thread, or e-mail me if you want; the e-mail address is on my home page.

Absolutely fantastic! Great to see one of my old favourites "What's in the box" again!

The clips don't work for me. They play for a few seconds, the picture freezes, but sound continues. What gives?

Download and install the latest DivX bundle and please post again whether or not this has corrected the problem :-

Ah, that's the problem. DivX. One of those software apps that I won't touch with a bargepole. Last time I
downloaded anything from DivX, it contained spyware, so I'm not going anywhere near DivX ever again.
Couldn't you encode the clips in MPEG, OuickTime, RealPlayer or Windows Media format instead?

As far as I know, the free DivX bundle I linked to does not contain spyware. It is only the "DivX Pro Adware" that does. But you can still remove the spyware afterwards, by following these instructions :-

I will not be offering the clips in another format. DivX offers the best file size vs. picture quality.

In that case, forget it. I still have no intention whatsoever of using DivX, after previous experience . . .

After obtaining the free version of Helix Producer to produce RealPlayer clips, I have converted all of the clips on this site to RealPlayer format.

Therefore if there were any of you not wanting to view because of DivX, perhaps you might want to take a 2nd look.

Great site there - I enjoyed the countdown clip and also the "open the box" clip.
"How many children have I got?" !!
