I'm having real trouble trying to download content from the iPlayer. I'm wanting to download 'The Passion', and would normally stream it, but I want to download it.

I tried it in Firefox, re-downloaded the software (I've attempted downloading before, but being the patient man that I am, tried again now), installed it, restarted Firefox, and clicked the pink download link. This took me to the Install page, i.e. this one: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/page/install/1.6/index.shtml, the one I'd already seen. This was annoying.

I tried in IE as well, but no luck.

Can anyone help? Please? You'll get a warm feeling inside if you can help.

It can be troublesome ...

If I am requested to download the DLM, the only solution I use is to restart the machine. In variably though if the Download Manager is active when an attempt to download is made then it succeeds.

Downloading programmes in iPlayer is very slow even when it does work.
I realise that iPlayer is essentially P2P software and that some providers (namely Tiscali but there are others) throttle P2P software. Therefore it will take all evening even to just download a 5min programme from the Cbeebies section.

Two catch-all solutions to any computer issue whatsoever:

1) Uninstall the software in question, restart the computer, re-install the software.
2) Restart the computer.
The third option won't do anything about the issue with the software, but it might make you feel better: Swear at it.

A hint if you can select the programmes that you want to download in the morning, downloads can be incredibly quick then, I downloaded three plus the Melodifestivalen final simultaneously starting at around 1130 this morning. All four tasks completed within the hour.

It's not that the downloads are slow, it's that they're non existant! I click download, install the software, restart Firefox, restart computer, nothing. As I said, I've tried IE.

I am grateful for any help though!

Having an odd problem myself - when I try to listen to a radio programme it defaults at silent and won't let me turn it up?

For all those that lost sleep last night worrying about my iPlayer problems, you'll be pleased to know I have worked out the problem - the KHost service was disabled. Not my fault. Thanks for trying to help anyway!

There seems to be a problem with iPlayer Radio at the moment - streaming not working.

It's fine with me at the moment, I'm listening to The Now Show as I type.

Streaming Radio 1 is giving me the "Sorry we can't bring you the programme you requested" when trying to listen with RealPlayer, and the Windows Media Player version just isn't playing anything.
