I've found a very nice French TV site with loads of clips, mostly French but also some from other countries. You can find it on http://tvstory.online.fr/mediatheque.php I would suggest that you use the drop-down menus on the right, they seem better for navigating.

On the site, I found an extremely wonderful 1980s style 3D animation from La Cinq, the first French private television channel. La Cinq may have been the home of lowbrow entertainment, and they may have been a result of right wing "deregulation hysteria" and they may have been partly owned by Silvio Berlusconi, but boy did they produce some wonderful tacky 3D animations.

You can see the clip at http://tvstory2.online.fr/real/la5/1986ouverturela5.rm

It is soo lovely made. The happy music. The low pace of the animation. The pause between every animation element. The idea too put a rainbow over France to make it idyllic. And then the idea to let a gigantic remote control land in the middle of France. And then let two TV screens bounce around before revealing the logo.

It looks like it has been recorded several times, as there are bugs from other channels in two of the corners.
