Ah yes - it stores the info in a flat-file format, I take it?

Nup, SQL database. The HTML files are static, generated from the CMS whenever a page needs to be updated. It means no database interaction required everytime a visitor visits a TVR page.

Very clever. At least it won't take millennia if the TV Room wants another revamp - then all they'd have to do is create the graphics, change the master style and regenerate all the pages.

Correct. Changing page layouts and graphics had been a massive headache up until now.

The delay in getting content added to the main site at the moment is due to the fact that all images are being recaptured using more up-to-date software. A very time consuming process but definitely worth it. Away from the site, I'm also very busy just now.

To annoy the impatient a little more... expect a delay... a small one, so don't get your knickers in a twist.

Can you give us a time frame. We can't wait all night.

It's their website and it's up to them when they open it. However, it would be better said when you are opening the website as the viewers would want the website open on the start of today, however you're doing it at the end of the day which is confusing

Ah, exactly the way I'd been intending to the the CMS for TVW when it gets done, as it'll save heaps on the database load (its the same way I build dynamic menus on sites for clients, only going a bit bigger to do the whole site that way). Great minds think alike. Razz If only forums didn't change so frequently for it to be impossible to use the technique with them...
