God, everyone here is so damn politically correct you have to spit your words out and pick through them before you say anything! If I am using an evil symbol it is because 1) I have previously mentioned Andy in a thread and 2) I have also stated categorically that I am straight. But I suppose that last statement will get me picked to pieces.

I've also stated categorically what colour my car is once -- but I don't expect you, or anyone else, to remember that. Unless you keep a notebook of facts.

The point is, were you to assume my car was black, I would not reply, "No, red Evil or Very Mad", because there is nothing wrong with implying my car is black. And I'd simply correct you.

You're emoticon *implied* there is something illicit in being assumed [wrongly] to have a lover called Andy -- if ya know what I'm screaming.

For the record, I have never had a lover called Rupert.

Yes I know what you're screaming; proving my point about political correctness. The emoticon implied there was something illicit in ME being assumed to have a lover called Andy, not anyone in general.

And the reason I might take offence at such a suggestion is that I have categorically stated, more than once, that I am straight. So it's not unreasonable for me assume that persons thinking otherwise are taking the pee, as happens all too often. If you're accusing me of homophobic undertones there's little I can do about that, but nothing could be further from the truth.

Don't see why -- Andy's an ok name, fifties children's programme characters aside.

Anyway this isn't the point, Simon. Why would you take *offence*? What's offensive about it? Perhaps Whataday hadn't seen these <posts of straightness> before, actually I don't think I have. So we weren't to know. We don't read every post.

It's just a question -- nothing guilty or illegal was implied therein. The answer you wanted was "no". It's not political correctness, it's answering the question properly. What you did was answer it honestly, which was most revealing.

If you think you don't have issues, think again sister.

So now who's being offensive? It matters to me not one iota who on this forum prefers men, women, cats or horses. Everyone's personal life is exactly that and not for others to question (unless of course you're Gary Glitter or Jonathan King).

So please, don't go looking for what's not there.

Oh I know I'm being offensive. But the point is Whataday wasn't necessarily being offensive.

I'm not bored anymore either, so -- as you were.

Agreed TV Dragon - but others have been offensive so I was merely covering my back (no pun intended).
