The layout for this site looks awful. The separators go off into the blackness beyond the main strip with everything on it. You have few images on the homepage, it looks unattractive. All too much text. Try not to put links to presentation pages on the homepage, leave that for 'Recently Updated', 'News' and all that. Take inspiration for a good layout from Rob and TV Live - they've got a lovely 'Featured' view at the top, a clean layout which contains info but isn't cluttered, and they used images for channels, not text.

Any reason why you've abandoned the generic term "EireIdents" which still appears in the title bar of the website for "Saorview", which is a (fairly specific) brand name used by the DTT service in Ireland? Don't you think they may be narked?
Also - see-through, non anti-aliased GIFs? Underlined hyperlinks? Section breaks made up of lots of dashes? What is this, 1996?

I'm playing with the idea of my own TV presentation site, (Yes, I know). Now, I know this is on a free website hosting site, but I think I've managed to do quite well with just the front page. None of the other pages have content.* Just have a quick look at: http://tvpresuk.mfbiz.com/

In reference to skyidents - I can see what you're trying to do, which is to create a television presentation site dedicated to Irish television, which I'm glad you're making the effort as its been long overdue. The issue I have is that the way this has been executed is rather less than ideal. I and other people on the thread have made the suggestion to keep to the standard presentation of TV Presentation sites so far by just having a main site, and create different sections relating to the content, if you wish you could have a spin-off site; however at the moment, its all a bit run before you can crawl.
If you had ONE site it would be a lot more manageable, and you could just keep your website branding focused on one area. Also I agree with a previous post, I don't think naming your site 'Saorview' is a good idea, as Ireland is just starting to get DTT up and running, and its not ideal to add to the confusion by having a name exactly the same, plus you don't want to have any issues with them. Go generic, something like: IrishTVPres, TVPresIreland, Irish/EireIdents.
Save yourself the extra hassle.

A bit bare (as you've said) but generally looks quite nice, any plans to add video/link from YouTube or is it more a gallery?

There are plans in the pipeline for YouTube, but I might focus on captures before I go onto YouTube captures and all that. Thank you for your positive comments. How do you feel about the design?

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all the comments and suggestions,
I think I will change the name, as DBL said it could be mean trouble when saorview dtt launches.
The dividers have now been removed, I have switched to a theme in line with my primary site Skyidents, I hope you'll all think its a bit of an improvement for the time being. I am currently working on a better site layout using images.

I like the design, its fairly modern, minimal and straight to the point; when it comes to the content text maybe add more contrast (a more lighter grey or white) as some visitors might have visibility issues.

Okay, thank you for that. I oversee things like that!

I have now re-named the site to Eire TV and the site navigation has been altered. Christmas presentation is slowly being added.
