Just a question for the webmasters who ACTUALLY did the video captures, would it be possible to watermark the clips so that websnatchers will be discouraged from doing this? Watermarking will discredit the websnatchers right on the spot.
And to add to the list of what Asa, Mark from TV ARK, and everyone who does TV capturing - add 'buying the actual TV capture cards'. These guys have to spend their hard earned money to get the equipment to do the captures in the first place!
Max/Robin/whatever your name is, I don't have a TV tuner card, but I do have video clips on my site. But can you guess how I got clips on my site? NO, not snatch them from other sites. I arranged time at my friend's house to use his capturing equipment. Not only did I take my spare time to capture the clips, but I also inconvenienced a friend - who was been plenty gracious to let use his equipment - who probably had better things to do than to wait for me. BTW, I AM getting a TV capture card, and I suggest you earn the money to get one yourself.
I would say other things as well, but that would be just repeating other people in this thread.

I HAVE CONTACTS WITH ITV! So when he does get it back up, I can get hium down without ITV themes, but I can't do this with any other TV Company, so it'll have to be som eone else, who e-mails the BBc.

Ed, the problem with watermarking is that it ruins the clips for everyone else. I used to do that with one of my VERY old sites, but everyone kept moaning to me that they couldn't enjoy the images and videos because I'd watermarked them. (However this did not discourage one person, as I noticed a site filling up with identical images to my own with black boxes over strategic points ... hmm!)

Well, well, well - he does get around! The Max we are talking about has also snatched TV captures from a 'Survivor' fansite I had a while back, okay I admit it capturing from the telly would of got me into trouble with ITV because it's illegal to them, but still it doesn't give the right to Max who at the time was also creating a Survivor site to use TV captures from other people's sites.
I also have reason to believe he contacted Carlton/ITV about my site and told them about the Survivor caps on my fansite a while back, because Carlton/ITV sent me an e-mail about it (a few days after Max asked me permission to use the pictures on my site, and I asked him not to use them) - either a coincidence or a dirty deed by Max.
This resulted in me shutting down my unsuccessful but Survivor site, which I had put a lot of effort into.
As for Big Brother, another interest of Max's he once again decided to create a website for the nationwide craze and wanted to bring in a couple of fans of the show to his site.
So in his normal 'web-snatching' ways downloaded sound clips from TellyTunes.net to use on his website without asking the site owner... although the same sound clips are featured on my site also, this is because I first asked permission and because I am a good friend of the person who produced the audio clips.
I don't know if it is the same person as I'm thinking of, but there is a Max who posts on the TellyTunes.net forum who has his own theme tune website also. This Max uses the site frequently and many of the themes featured on his site are snatched too. ~~Steve~~ from TellyTunes.net was also contacted by Carlton/ITV.
Further, to a question about a naked celebrity site run by Maximillian, yes that is the Max we are talking about.
Overall, I agree with others - it can be really annoying for me and others who put so much hard work into developing their websites and updating them as much as possible to have one person just come and copy the images and credit them to their own name.
Sorry Max if you feel that your being picked on here, but it is true and you don't make it any better for yourself when you say 'My site is the best.'
