Why have Digital Spy been blocking people on their forum link to here (TVF)?

I don't get it.

Is it me or does the slight alteration of the Digital Spy logo to incorporate the poppy a little tasteless. Surely, the poppy shouldn't be part of a branding exercise almost makes it look insigificant.

Reminds me of the day when the Amiga game- Cannon Fodder wasn't allowed to have a poppy on front of it's game!

I kind of get rids the point of having a picture of a poppy!

I always thought the original box looked better - the Daily Mail IIRC had a field day about it!

Is anybody else having problems loging onto Digital Spy Forum ?

I saw about 6ish this evening that there was a notice up saying maintance was ongoing but now even that page is dead!

Back on now mate.

I know this is an old thread but I didn't think there was much point in making another one. Is the Digital Spy Forums down again because I was getting a database error message earlier but now its changed into an Error 404? I know there was maintenence planned but I thought that was for before but is there some being done now?

EDIT: It now says this "Back shortly - emergency maintenance."

I guessing due to the move to the new server the database decided to go funny. This could have also been them getting the second server for the search facility online.

EDIT: An announcement has appeared on Digial Spy saying the server decided to power down and the forum has now moved back to it's old server.

Just brining an old thread up again to ask ....

Also while im at it but totaly off subject anybody else habving problems accessing Tesco's website

The Tesco site has played up for days so I'm not surprised there. As for Digital Spy, they could be experimenting with the server.

actually can I bring this back into discussion. Why do they do this? What is the point of not allowing people to link to other forums that may have useful information on them. Makes DS seem even more ridiculous.

Is it just me or is Digital Spy down now?
