RANT ALERT!

Digital Spy is so bloody frustrating. The bloody ads on it slow the pages down so much that it probably takes me longer to download each page now than before I had broadband!

Now, is this an annoyance for anyone else - or is it just a case of my soon to be replaced Windows 98 PC not keeping up with the times - although DS is the only site I really have any problems with!

Me too, until I got XP. You should wait for Vista before you get a new computer though.

That's been delayed a bit though hasn't it. I can't wait much longer to be honest - I've probably put it off about a year already!

I've thought for a while now the credibility of Digital Spy is put into question when they cover the actual content with flash ads that you have to manually click to remove them.

If you buy a computer now you can get "express upgrade" whatever that means.

You could just block adverts.digitalspy.co.uk in your browser, normally does the trick.

It's probably your computer. I do think it's still a problem as it takes at least five seconds to load up, whereas TV Forum only takes about two. Of course not a major problem at all for me, but I expect it's worse for you.

Or just don't bother with Vista. To me, there's nothing really groundbreaking about it - it's overhyped and overpriced. And comes with a sh!tload of DRM and copy protection crap for good measure.

Just switching to XP made a huge difference, and now I've the line has been upgraded I can view the site without wanting to break something!

P.S. The new Internet Explorer's a bit ugly isn't it - probably the biggest boost to Mozilla in years!

If you mean wait until it comes bundled, than yes, but if you mean for a specially spec supporting pc, not really

I bought a new one about 2 months ago and it has a "Microsoft Certified Vista Ready Computer" Sticker on it.
