Welcome. Remember to visit the Globe room one day, see the BIG MOIRA statue on the other end of the grounds and in the library is the actual heart shaped model used in the 1999 Carlton ident series. Breakfast is served 6am-9:25am daily. Donations of coffee, tea and Wispa bars are gratefully accepted.

First post on this forum, was on digital spy but after three weeks of them waiting to reset my password I've given up with DS. So I'm giving this forum a go.

Beware.
Have received TWO warnings on DS within an hour for apparent 'sexism'. I've been on the forums for some 15 years now and have NEVER received such warnings before. Probably as I'm NOT sexist, but as usual the DS mods think they know better than everyone else - when freely handing out the warnings.
Now on a level 2 warning - to expire on 18th March.
One was for the use of the word "TAARRRRTTTT" - a in-joke reference to the Sandra Stubbs "edit" once used in Classic Corrie.
The second was for criticising the character of Mandy Salter in Classic EastEnders.
A snide, overly feminist forum member called StolenGoodPlaceJanet is now actively reporting people making what she deems 'sexist' comments, or those that dare to question her - as a couple of other DS forum members have also found out. The Mods seem to ignore her somewhat rude, abrasive and at times personal posts towards other forum members.
It now does not help with the said DS FM now actively scanning what I post (somewhat of sad individual really), hitting the "report" button to anything she deems not to her liking.
"Sexist" in her pathetic opinion, can include criticism of a female TV character or the joking use of the word "TAARRRRTTTT" - which no hurtful malice was intended.

That forum is terrible now. I take my lifetime ban as a blessing as I don’t have to deal with those numpties anymore

What highly annoys me with DS is the double standards that occur.
One FM can rant towards others endlessly and receive nothing in the way of a warning.
Another can post something tongue in cheek and get a warning for it.

It’s exactly what happened to me. On a positive note, it’s freed up a fair bit of my spare time

DS's moderation, especially since the Hearst takeover has always been poor.

Poor? It's downright appalling.
There is talk of clamping down on sites such as Facebook and Twitter; Sites like DS forums also need looking at, due to the amount of libel, untruths, slander and personal insults that is bandied about on their forums on a daily basis. Much of it is not dealt with and left intact.
The Mods very clearly have "favourites" whom they agree with, anyone who dares come into conflict with these "favourites" is most certainly likely to find their posts removed and/or receive a warning, or even a ban.
By contrast this forum seems a whole lot focused, better, nicer and fairer - although a bit different to navigate!
If I knew of some kind of "internet watchdog" to complain to regarding DS - I most certainly would do.
