There was a channel on YouTube that went by the name of A British Telly Treat that had a considerable number of gems uploaded, but as I was going through them today, it suddenly stated that the channel was voluntarily closed as opposed to suspended.
I don't suppose anybody knows of the circumstances?
I think that user got suspended on a previous account half a year ago, so I assume someone must have rapped them on the knuckles again.
A shame really, I always enjoyed watching those Hancock-era Room 101 episodes that are rather difficult to get hold of, since no-one seem's to repeat them anymore.
Shame, had some classic Challenge Anneka's and It'll Be Alright On The Night amongst other great one-off documentaries that haven't seen the light of day since originally aired. That channel also somehow managed to get 'premium' account status too so one wonders whether it was an official archive channel which has been misidentified by the wonderful YT content ID system (wouldn't be surprised!)
YouTube states "the user closed their account" as opposed to "repeated copyright claims" or whatever the usual statement is, so it looks like it was voluntary.
