Another use for Delboynet is to download tv clips i captured of various progs. Also tv themes i got by myself and other websites that just happen to be on my pc! Other bitz and bobz on it as well.
Although the tv clips were captured by me (dunno why!).

Right click on them to save them to your computer as tripod don't allow remote linking (halfwits) - i will find somewhere else though soon and there will be regular updates as i'm starting to capture tons of stuff thats on my Vids at home.

I think the site being called delboynet just makes the whole thing lack credibility, and the media forums blow.

Agreed about the name - it will do for the moment but will get a proper domain probably around summer next year.

I want it to co-habit with media forums. Sort of sisters.

So, as I understand it, this site is just going to be a collection of your own captures mixed with stuff nicked off other people's sites?

If you're going to take my clips from TV Whirl without asking, at least make the effort to choose ones where it's not possible to tell where you snatched from. (eg - The 1990 Weetabix ad, which includes a snippet from the previous ad for Co-op). Rolling Eyes

You know the name 'Delboynet' isn't as silly as you think, considering how some of your clips just fell off the back of a lorry.

(Oh, and if anyone from TV-Ark is reading this, your stuff is going up on there too!)

Rest assured, no matter what you say - all my clips were captured by me from my own videos and of those that people sent me via email. I haven't and will probably never download anything from your website, nor TV Ark.

You aren't the only one with the weetabix adverts on tape you know, others have it as well.

Nice try, with just a few minor flaws I'm afraid:

1) How does someone in Scotland have a Weetabix ad, containing a brief snippet of an ad for North Eastern Co-op?

2) Unfortunately for you there's a little feature of Realmedia you don't know about. Every single file encoded by RealProducer has a unique ID embedded in it at encode time. This ID doesn't alter even if you change the author details. Anyone who wishes to check this can do so. Download the files from both sites (and be quick, as I suspect some hasty covering up may be done otherwise), and open them up in Notepad. Do a search for the string 'File ID'. You find something along the lines of 'File ID %fce4baee-8b0c-232d-e8ba-b264d6f98f57 CONT'

Everything between that square and the word CONT is the unique ID. Let's take a look at a few, shall we...

TV Whirl - Weetabix 1990 ID - %fce4baee-8b0c-232d-e8ba-b264d6f98f57
Delboynet - Weetabix 1990 ID - %fce4baee-8b0c-232d-e8ba-b264d6f98f57

TV Whirl - Nationwide 1998 ID - %cb5c2f87-7ad3-561b-5a0d-e63ff976547f
Delboynet - Nationwide 1998 ID - %cb5c2f87-7ad3-561b-5a0d-e63ff976547f

TV Whirl - Felix 1998 - %8b0df31e-5c40-6eec-0643-328a80c1ad59
Delboynet - Felix 1998 - %8b0df31e-5c40-6eec-0643-328a80c1ad59

TV Ark - Milky Way 1989 - %1760c306-c9dc-d134-bc0a-e398bcf0ee88
Delboynet - Milky Way 1989 - %1760c306-c9dc-d134-bc0a-e398bcf0ee88

Really, you websnatchers just don't put the same effort in these days. Rolling Eyes

Firstly, thanks to Terence of TV Whirl for bringing this thread to my attention.

In addition to the TV ARK clips mentioned above, I can confirm that the Abbey National ad has also been lifted from TV ARK. What makes it worse is that all references to TV ARK have been removed from the file and replaced with references to 'delboynet'. Did 'delboynet' track down old tapes, capture clips and then encode them? Did he hell!

It's so obvious that Abbey National 1990, Milky Way 1989, Weetabix 1981 and Weetabix 2001 have been websnatched from TV ARK - I should know because I encoded them!

By all means include clips which you have captured and encoded, but please do not try to pass off someone else's work as your own.

Knock new things, - believe what you want as I did capture them from tapes, and are my own work and aren't going anywhere. What I may do in the future is have whats on before and after the adverts but maybe when I haven't got anything to do as i do wash my hair a lot these days.

If i was to 'steal' anything from your websites i wouldnt ask your permission i'd ask the permission of the people who made it.

Nuff said...here comes the banter...but ive said my piece.

And like all good people when they're caught out, he ignores the conclusive proof posted earlier. You can deny it and make childish 'I'm washing my hair remarks' all you like, but the simple fact is the unique RM file ID proves it. Realnetworks included it for this very reason. Rolling Eyes

To be honest, I'd have thought you'd have learned your lesson over things like this, after that dubious forum launch last year (spamming all the TVF members IIRC). Principally a pres site needs 3 things:-

1) The clips, pictures and/or info
2) The pages
3) Credibility

The third one is without a doubt the most important one. You may have the first two, but continuing with your approach, even when it's been shown you're lieing will fast lose you that vital third characteristic. You should seriously reconsider it whilst your site still has a chance.

Oh, why am I wasting my time. Just go back to washing your hair, and burying your head in the sand (quite a combination I expect).
