Hey guys, just happened to be wandering the intertubes and I notice David Lowe has a brand new look website, lots of grouped audio loveliness now, worth a look!

There's some stuff in the members area I'm not sure as ever aired, check out the World News Today titles...

I heard about this from someone on tinterwebs., they said it was a boring template!
The MT 1993 Track he has posted is actually edited slightly (most are, if you listen!) and should be of lower pitch.

Indeed the breakfast titles have pips where pips are not on the version they use.

It's also weird seeing the regions titles in 16:9 from 1999! Only 1 region broadcast 16:9 about that time (BBC Newsroom SE). Oooh, and the Breakfast 2009 titles are mid development (the placenames are in Gill Sans Light)

This is really brilliant. As you say, seeing the Regions and World in w/s is great too.

EDIT: Strangely the '2006 News Countdown' (which is actually the 2007 countdown) has the 2008 BBC News box on it.

That version was used on air for a few days until it was replaced. The pips in the headline bed used prior to the titles kept crashing into the opening pips of the titles giving a horrid 'double pip' effect.

The current region titles are also development versions - you can tell as they had the global names on them until the last few shots when they zoomed 'out' to become the local town names.

The correct visuals of the current Wales Today titles are there - I don't think the version in the global map style as Scotland / NI have ever made it out from internal hands!

BBC International Countdown, never heard of that variant

It's just a countdown that could be used by every branch of the BBC. That's why most of the 99 elements got called "Universal" (E.G. Universal Headline Stab)
