Boycott Metropol

Please boycott Metropol. After appearing to allow my return Gavin Scott has conspired to get the members into forcing my exit and making me as unwelcome as possible.

There is no free speech and if anyone says anything against anyone, you're banned. If your face doesn't fit, you're banned. If Gav feels like it, you're banned.

For the good people of the forum I will soon launch a NEW forum where you can have TRUE free speech, which won't hound out somebody because THEY have an OPINION.

You really are deranged.

You we're banned again because of your failure to comply with the rules which YOU agree to when signing up to Metropol. Gavin was greatful enough to reinstate you on the basis that you would behave.

On several occasions you were seen to provoke other members by airing abuse and unacceptable language. In society today racist and homophobic comments are not welcome, so why should that be any different here.

Some people gave you the benifit of the doubt but sadly you failed to comply with the rules. James Martin - You're Fired!

Hardly. I flew in the face of popular opinion and chose to reinstate you, despite many messages urging me to do the contrary. I beleive everyone deserves a second chance and that was yours.



No one ever suggested you have free speech on this site or Metropol. You sign up to the terms and conditions and are bound by good taste and decency.

What I wrote there was me simply taking the miky. I was having a private laugh at the expense of the people who have forced me once again from the community.

I was not drunk at the time of writing that, and please note that I never had any intention of continuing posting from today.

The hostility towards me on that site, for several YEARS - not just in recent times when I may or may not have spoke my mind or cracked a few edgy jokes - has been overwhelming. I am honestly not sure what I originally did wrong.

There is a very small clique on that site who think that they are above everybody else. It is they who have hounded me for years and years. I do, however, not go down without a fight. I said I'd win or die trying, and I died trying.

How amusing it is that what I say is "intolerable" but the numerous, numerous signatures dileberately constructed to offend me and defame my character were considered to be absoloutely fine.

Such double standards. Why do you think that I believe that there has been deliberate engineering of hatred towards me, so that I would crack and get banned again? I'm sure a look in the secret forum would show me that this has been encouraged.

Have fun with your little club because I want not a thing to do with it ever again. It'll be gone in a year anyway.

Well you said my avatar looked smug, and then seemed to patronise me, even when I had been trying to help. So naturally, my support for you has been on the wane.

Then why were you so keen to re-join a community where you were clearly unpopular?

Individuals can make up their own mind whether to participate on Metropol or not, they don't need some sort of protest - which is about as pointless and uninteresting as the odd "boycott TV Forum" ones are.
