Looks like an updated BBC homepage on mobile devices...

And sure as day follows night, the negative comments roll in on the blog. I'm sure there are people on there who moaned at the previous version when it came in who grew to like it, and are now moaning it's being replaced!

I can't say I've ever bothered with the homepage, I don't see why anyone's that fussed about it. If I want to get to a BBC page (typically news, sport, weather, iPlayer) I always just go through the news site first, whether it's on the phone, tablet or PC.

The number of technologies they're using though is a bit mind boggling Shocked

Looks like the new BBC News website is almost ready to go live. The latest update to http://m.bbc.co.uk/news sees the removal of the 'beta' tag, a font tweak, and the introduction of a 'have your say' box. Only thing that's missing now which I think they've promised is the reintroduction of the news ticker.

What's the new font? Look the same as before to me. Boring!

I have a custom font set on my browser for all websites which makes text a lot easier to look at and read and means I'm not stuck looking at plain fonts you see all the time as it is.

The custom headline in the most read list are back, they haven't been on the current site for a few months now.

It's not an obvious change, I only noticed the difference due to comparing it with their test site. It looks like the next update will include the addition of a markets box & picture gallery section to the main page.

Not sure exactly, but as of 2nd-4th March, the BBC Sport Formula One page has ceased using its unique black background and begun to use the normal white background as used elsewhere on BBC Sport Online.

I've seen plenty of F1 articles in the past using the white background. I wonder if it's just a case of people not selecting the correct template?

Nice floodlight themed error page on the BBC Sport website, which appears to have fallen over

The News website also appears to be down.

EDIT: Never mind, seems to be back up again now!

Seems like most, if not all, of BBC Online is down. For me anyway.

Still can't beat the burning test-card on the 500 error page.
