Just thought I'd say BBC World's website now has a brand new look!

It's much better. Nice design and nice features (weather).

BTW, if I want to view the images used on various pages, the site asks me for a password.

OMG - that website is awful.

It uses graphics from BBC Four News, and looks nothing like its generic appearance on television.

At least the old website had graphics and images that fit and worked. Oh, and it dosen't fit properly with 800x600 resolutions!

Who designed it? Max? Evil or Very Mad

I'll say it's OK!

Not overly impressed. Seen quite a few mistakes such as the TV listings printing page and the ticker.

I like it how they've included programme micro sites but, have to say, where the hell are presenter biographies? I can't find them anywhere!

Adrian Finighans bio:

He is also the "voice of BBC World", the person introducing the news and programmes behind the channel's idents. "It's weird - I often introduce myself"!

I've just read the Terms and Conditions and it says you are not allowed to re-produce the material on the site except for your own personal view.

Now, I've got some profiles of people from the BBC World site from before and never seen this. All it said was images etc were copyright.

Will I have to take them off WORLDwatch as some - on BBC World and WORLDwatch were given to my by the presenters themselves!

That I don't know Mike, but I would be careful. If you're not sure, then why not send them an e-mail, just explaining what your site is for etc, and you mean nothing by it!

As for the website itself, hmm, not too sure. It's went all the horrible orange way, what with BBC Four News. I much prefer the China red colour myself!

Pants! Total pants. It doesn't look right in every browser, it crashes some, and the fonts are too small for a Mac. The graphics are nearly horrid, with the same image surrounding that banner at the top.

Lame lame lame lame lame lame lame.

It also confused the hell out of the ABF today when it couldn't pull any coming up details from the on-line listings. Nobody in online thought to tell Pres. engineers the URL was changing !
