It was a 4:3 picture, but the actual image was cut off. For example, on titles if "John Doe Producer" was shown, all you could see on screen was "oe Producer".
The first episode of "Holding On" is badly cut off on the edges. It's as if its been zoomed in.

The BBC Store iOS App is now equipped with Chromecast. I believe the Android equivalent is/is about to be similarly equipped.

A warning at least one series (Sacred Rivers) is the BBC WW sold 49min edit version and not the original BBC UK 59min.

I'm guessing purchases will only be available through iPlayer. I can't imagine a mass refund operation.
