It doesn't look familiar at all. I wonder if it was meant to be connected to, or influenced by, Rad Dwarf

I don't believe this was ever transmitted. We can never say this with 100% certainty of course. Some of us pres fanatics weren't monitoring the channel quite as closely then as we do these days.

Not quite sure of that being described as a CGI "computer model" in the description - the whole thing looks like a physical one to me.

Found this randomly on YouTube. This also comes from the archive and it's a real treat for you all.
It's the making of the BBC Two "Kebab" and "Woodpecker" idents

It's probably more courteous to link to the original video, rather than to someone who has just websnatched it and stuck it up on YouTube.

A couple more that are great to see...
The ITV logo egging the C4 logo to dive off a ruler(!) https://www.ravensbourne.ac.uk/bbc-motion-graphics-archive/bbc1-radio-times-promotion-2-1991

And I'm wondering in what scenario this Christmas 'long menu' would ever have been used? https://www.ravensbourne.ac.uk/bbc-motion-graphics-archive/christmas-bbc-one-trampoline-long-menu-ident-1996

The Woodpecker video has blown my mind. I always used to watch wondering if it was CG because of how the foreground 2s animated. Once I saw the set I thought, "well go figure, it was real." Not only real, but stop motion?? I like that ident even more now. I always have a soft spot for real creativity and craftsmanship.

If there was ever something I'd consider putting as a quote in my signature, this is it! Very Happy

And it turns out the kebab 2 was real too

Bet they ate the cooked kebab after filming. Looks to be actually made of kebab meat too. Bet it took ages to mould it into the iconic 2.

Interesting BBC1 did the Circles 15 years before they did the Circle idents, incorporating the globe in a very 90s manner.

Marvelling at how Changing Rooms' title sequence managed to get cheaper looking after it became a primetime BBC One hit.
