If you have your own website I don't see why you need to post every update here as well?

In all fairness, I don't really see how its much different to how the owners of likes of TV Live and The Ident Gallery post information of their own website developments, although then again it wouldn't be a problem if this thread was moved to the websites section.

I did ask for this thread to be moved to the websites section WEEKS AGO, but nothing was done...

I think that's because this thread is not known as the Java TV thread at the moment. I see your point, and I agree that it should be moved, so I will rename it shortly.

I did complain about this thread MONTHS ago, but nothing was done...

Not sure why you had to post about changing the name... If you make your post using the standard reply page you have the option to change the title there and then - it's not a long-winded job.

That is now done.

Thank you.

A new issue has occurred. The website is fine, but someone has written this on the homepage:
Quote:
My idea kids programme would be a live kids version of Man O Man called Boyz to Hunk, it would be hosted by Dick & Dom who would wear nothing but pair of Boyz to Hunk branded speedos.

In the final round, three boys would be in beefcake pads (mature word for nappies) and during their posing routine task with male bodybuilder (also in beefcake pads), they would have a wee and poo on the beefcake pads to insure if each boy won, the red dot graphic would be flashing on TV.

The winner would get the prize ticket in the sealed envelope which is a family week out to theme parks like Florida.

May I advise we set up an official homepage, and whoever did this to the homepage is banned for spamming our website.

Ditch the wiki-style site. With a wiki site, you will ALWAYS be prone to vandalism like this. If you use something like Wordpress and host it on your own servers, at least you can be in control of what's on each page, and you won't have this problem.

I'd be happy to host Java TV on the TV Live hosting for free (I have unlimited hosting) if you're willing to do this. Get in touch.

I agree to this proposal, does everyone else agree?

I read through this thread earlier today, and the one thing that stood out to me is that the running and maintenance of the site appears to be very disorganised. First of all, who runs the site? Lukesam3 states 'my wiki' at one point, before someone else says that channel4fan created the site. But MatthewFirth created the thread and appears to have started this whole thing off, and at some point decided to set some challenge for everyone, and has even asked questions about whether people are doing the mocks he's asked for. From what I can work out there don't appear to be that many members and they all sound the same so I'm not sure what's going on there. Then, there are the mocks themselves - the wiki format lends itself to vandalism, as seen with the bizarre TV concept that's replaced a Meridian mock (which in turn was a paint recreation of the original mock), and this isn't really the type of site that is best shown in Wiki form.

That's a message telling us to give this up, ain't it?

No, I'm merely pointing out my confusion at how the entire thing is being run and the flaws present.

At the very least, protect the homepage so only admins can edit.

I have decided to start locking several pages in order to prevent any further spamming.

Good idea, but some pages maybe still at risk.

GOOD NEWS! The permissions of the site have been changed by channel4fan to "Anyone who joins your site ONLY" (a.k.a. "Members Only"). This change WILL affect anonymous users as they will be BANNED from spamming and deleting this site's content all together. So, Java TV is now a "Members Only" website and new users will now have to create an account in order to make mocks.
