Does anyone know what's going on with Ananova at the moment?
In the last couple of weeks, they've started using annoying, cheapo pop-up ads; the headlines and accompanying photos on the front page have been changed to generic, non-dynamic ones, and the main news section which used to consist of hundreds of pages, now consists of just one.
Have they got problems, or are they just cost-cutting? Looks a bit shoddy IMO.

I've also just noticed that they do not have the search facility anymore. Or is it just me?
Most of the stories on Ananova IIRC are just generic stories from news agencies, as I have seen exactly the same text used in stories for the Metro and Evening Standard.
Normally, I don't bother to wait for pop-up ads to load before closing them, but thought I'd see what it was Ananova was advertising today. Turns out it's an advert
in German
for ringtones.
I've been with Orange ever since I decided Vodafone were crap, and never had a problem with coverage.
I was pissed off when they stopped half-price calls and texts if you topped up by £50 and never let it hit zero, right at the same time they increased text prices, my texts went from 5p to 12p. But I think the original service plan (not available to new customers) is still better value than any offered by Orange or any competitor today, with all this no-peak/off-peak and cheaper-after-so-many-minutes stuff that's around. And since I got Out Here before it became Text Saver, so I've got it for life and don't have to renew it each year.

It was originally launched by the Press Association, I assume they still provide the content
