The annoying effects are killing my processor....aargh!
Why oh why did you choose to do that with Frontpage? Those bleeding java nav thingies crash my browser and it doesn't fit on 800x600, which as a general rule most websites should do.
I don't mean to sound rude, but you need to go and have a good think before you design a site with frontpage.
Cut the special effects incuding the java nav, people do not want to sit there waiting for some words to drop down the page whilst their processor is being maxed out, make it fit on 800x600 and don't use the damn templates; a website should be individual, not the same.
I hate it when I see web sites that have the same design because someone decided to use the templates - it doesn't look good!
by the way the images were not stolen from the TV room, i don't think
Yes they were. All of the pictures on your channel lineup page are not screen captures, but were specially created for the tv room website. Aswell as that, the images on your site have exactly the same filenames as the same images on the tv room.
Apart from that, loose the stupid dropping in from the top text effect, correct the inaccuracies (analogue will NOT be switched off in a couple of years).
On your channel lineup page - try not to directly lift channel descriptions from the broadcaster/official freeview site. And it's Setanta Sport, not 'Seneta'.
On the reviews page - listing 'remote control' and 'the ability to watch an analogue channel whilst recording a digital one' as features is hardly worth it in this day and age don't you think?
actually analouge is going to be switched off in a couple of years, smart guy
Yes, that's if digital penetration gets to near 100%. Digital TV isn't too bad but the quality doesn't match that of analogue.
Currently it's only at about 41% (see here), so don't expect analogue to disappear any time soon. If they did switch analogue TV off tommorrow, then 59% of the population would be left without TV and I'm sure that many people would be fairly pissed off.
So in a way you are right, but Chris is technically right because it's not like Sky and DTT boxes are flying off the shelves at the moment and the realistic time for a switchoff, as James said would be about 10 years. Also there are no video recorders with intergrated digital decoders so many people will probably sit tight and wait before they make their next move.
