I am not sure if this has been mentioned before, BUT Television Archive.org - the site that amassed sooo much coverage of the 9/11 footage is back online and working a treat.

Incredible that they managed to capture so much and from so many different channels - incl BBC World.

It's amazing, especially the quality of the videos, OK so it's not DivX but it's a lot better than Dial Up Real.

I remember seeing those clips first time in real player in a postage size screen and jerky as anything.

Does anyone know how to get the file name so I could do a save as jobby?

What did News24 do on 9/11? Did they air BBC World or did they provide their own coverage, and if so who were the presenters?

Well I remember on the day that BBC One stayed with News 24 the entire afternoon and into the evening the whole thing was definatly News 24 based. I can't tell you if World stayed on their own or started similcasting. I reckon they stayed on their own as N24 were tryin to use ABC news.

John Terrett broke it on News 24 during Business news. He then threw to Valerie and John.

You can see BBC 1 join News 24 here One joins News 24

Thanks. Strange they didn't start simulcasting as they did for relatively minor events.

Ot really, there was a slighly diffrent agenda domesticly with airports and tall buildings being closed as well as the reaction from UK politicians.

Glad this site is back online, especially as I didn't have broadband first time round
