The Flash Files, a section of 625.uk.com containing Flash reproductions of old TV logos and the like, has had a minor update to the BBC Schools section.

The last mechanical BBC Schools Dots countdown has been revised and a
new file showing its equivalent electronic version has been added.

The Schools versions of the clocks seen in 1969 (the mirror clock
without the COLOUR legend) and 1975 (with the yellow lettering) have also been added.

And I now have the BBC2 Daytime symbol from September 1983, when schools programmes were moved from BBC1 to make way for... well nothing as it turned out.

The Flash Files - part two - 625.uk.com

Dave Jeffery who produces the Flash animations has sent me loads more interesting stuff, so I hope to be creating more updates to the pages in the coming months.

The former is available as a wall clock from Keith Hamer at HS Publications. I got mine in 1996 and it's still keeping immaculate time.

Well, there are already parts three and four at the site now Smile
(Part three is an LWT Farewell Special. Part four hosts Screensavers.)

But you can expect parts one and two to get even bigger...

I've just updated the Flash Files again, which coincides nicely with the tenth anniversary of the first ever appearance of Dave Jeffery's Flash-animated TV logos on the web!

Ten years ago today the Flash Files comprised a single a page of four TV re-creations (The ATV In Colour Zoom, The Open University ident, HTV's first aerial ident and Test Card F). Today there are about 140 graphics to click on!

This time we update ABC and add the ATV regional zooms and the only-ever boring Thames ident...
