Neither does "oh we'll just watch it on 4OD instead", unless you know what 4OD means and are used to hearing it - it can't pass the casual conversation test until it's been in casual use for a notable amount of time. 20 years ago Google wouldn't be a name fit for purpose under your test.
I don't agree the vast majority of the people who'll be impacted by the change will be those comfortable saying 4OD and know what it means. For those who don't care about on demand services then their lives will continue as normal.
It simply doesn't pass the 'would people say it in casual conversation' test though, therefore this new name is not fit for purpose.
