It's nice but meaningless - doesn't say "All 4" at all. The 4oD logo is much better - doesn't need any added explanation and it is as familar as the iPlayer logo.
4oD is certainly the more memorable of the possible names, apart from 4Play of course, but not sure if they'd want to use that for obvious reasons.
All 4 sounds strange, like there should be something after it, and there is a brand of universal remote controls called 'All 4 One'
4 All is a slightly better way of phrasing it, but again, is not as memorable or distinctive as 4o~D, which has been around for years and something everyone associates instantly with the Channel 4 brand.
Also, that logo for All 4 is huge. How are they gonna scale that down for smart phone app icons and the likes? 4oD was simple, this looks too complicated.
4OD is so well established and recognisable. Like someone already said you won't say "I missed it but I'll catch it on all4" like you would with 4OD.
The name is rubbish and would have sounded better switched to 4All.
The logo is quite frankly rubbish.
Nice and positive there.
I think the name is quite clever myself, inspired by the Three Musketeers. I think it's a much needed improvement to 4OD which hasn't changed much at all since its launch.
The boring and uninspired decision would be to just call it 4Player which for obvious reasons Channel 4 can't really use.
And logo has brought the Channel 4 logo up to date, it's nice modern and you'd think people would be glad to see a return to multi coloured blocks!

It simply doesn't pass the 'would people say it in casual conversation' test though, therefore this new name is not fit for purpose.
The logo might look nice, but it's not going to be obvious to your average viewer what it represents.

Neither does "oh we'll just watch it on 4OD instead", unless you know what
4OD
means and are used to hearing it - it can't pass the casual conversation test until it's been in casual use for a notable amount of time. 20 years ago

wouldn't be a name fit for purpose under your test.
