UK broadcaster Channel 4 has added a mobile download option to its 4oD video-on-demand service.
The free, ad-supported feature lets users download and catch up with Channel 4 shows from the last 30 days from their smartphone or tablet.
Channel 4 claims to be the first UK commercial broadcaster to offer free offline mobile catch up, with the launch coming after the publicly-funded BBC added mobile downloads to its iPlayer service last September.
