One issue seems to be the length of time it takes to sync the streams up to HD, unlike the iPlayer (on virtually all platforms) Britbox (at least the web version via Google and iPad Safari versions) seems sluggish in deciding that the connection has the bandwidth and stability to ramp up to the maximum deliverable stream quality. It's noticeable. I think that the delivery mechanism adopts the original technique of ramping up in small increments, rather than the more modern sawtooth technique of taking large increments up and then taking small steps, getting there quicker. Several programmes have taken 5+ seconds to get to HD. Something the iPlayer now does virtually instantly on all platforms.
The load up continues at a pace, ITV classics Brideshead and Jewel in the Crown now available. More factual too, all Cox's material pre Planets is now available. I'd encourage people to at least try it for the trial period, perhaps in a fortnight to see what's on offer. The quality of much of the old stuff will be interesting to see.
Nothing Doctor Who, there yet, and somewhat concerning me, the flow of new 'factual' and documentary programming into the service has stalled, whereas drama and comedy seems to still be added at a pace.
EDIT - Just got the iOS app, works well on iPad. Still waiting for AppleTV version.

Brtibox's AppleTV app is imminent. Being trailed in the App Store for iOS and iPadOS but currently not catalogued on tvOS.
Arrived overnight, video seeming a tad on the ‘soft’ side but it’s a very good facsimile of the website. It is of course what the lamented BBC Store should have aimed for in it’s incarnation.
