Don't we see this a lot though, something nostalgic turns up somewhere that hasn't been seen for a while and then once the initial interest fades, it drops off ratings/stats wise never to be seen again? Not applicable to stuff that hasn't really been off the air like OFOH and Dad's Army and others.


For some reason, the BBC own the rights to the first four series of GH, which is why presumably they're on Britbox, while I think Eureka Entertainment owns the rights to the rest.

If you compare the Britbox copies of GH compared to those posted on YouTube, the Britbox copies do appear to have been cleaned up.

Britbox to launch as one of the Amazon Prime Channels. It should come as no surprise as ITV Hub+ is also an additional channel on the platform.

This will be a backdoor for NOW TV device users to subscribe to Britbox.

Yes, as long as Prime Video is on their device, it increases the coverage of Britbox straight away as it's on the vast majority of devices. It will mean Amazon will take a cut of the subs through Prime Video, but the device access goes up overnight.

Android TV is another glaring omission where Britbox isn't a stand-alone app, but those users will be able to view Britbox via Prime Video.

No, so you'll have to factor in that sub in addition. But if you already have a Prime sub, it's a no brainer.
