I jumped the gun last week on this, but the UKTV channels are now available on Roku boxes and sticks via TVPlayer.
Indeed, it's been added to their channel availability page. Yet, they still don't mention that the UKTV channels are also on Android TV smart TV's and boxes such as the NVidia Shield and Mi Box.
I didn't know Samsung Tizen TV's also have UKTV as well.
Wouldn't surprise me if the now-lifted restictions on TVplayer over the UKTV channels were directly linked to the expired Virgin-UKTV carriage deal with Virgin. There have been some really restrictive clauses in carriage deals which have restrained channels from streaming online on a different platform, in this case via boxes / dongles that plug into a TV.
TVPlayer have updated their channel availability page.
All of UKTV's FTA channels are now on Windows 10 (via the app), Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV. However, the pay channels are still restricted. The pay channels can be viewed by Roku and Android TV devices, including the Mi Box and NVidia Shield.

The PQ of the UKTV channels are shocking. For reasons only known to TVPlayer, the contrast is too dark and has no aspect ratio switching, important for watching 4:3 shows on Gold. NOW TV's stream is perfectly fine, even if it's also SD.
