No, it's on TV Player on the mobile platform and on the website. So I don't think technical reasons are holding it back. It must be some contractual reason.

I'll just leave this link here for you: https://tvplayer.com/channel-availability

Website, iOS, and Android Mobile are, indeed, the only platforms where you can access all UKTV channels, due to broadcast and legislation rights.

TV Player is to split the PLUS packs for new customers. Doing a NOW TV in effect with splitting Ent from Kids.

Quote:
TVPlayer now supports smaller bite-sized packs to allow subscribers to customise their PLUS subscription on TVPlayer. Existing subscribers are kept on their current subscription, there is no need to do anything unless you wish to change your subscription package.

We now offer three main channel packs for TVPlayer PLUS as well as several individual channels.

New Features
TVPlayer PLUS Max - All of the TVPlayer PLUS channels available in one pack. (Kids channels are available separately)

TVPlayer PLUS Lite - Our starter pack, coming with only the essential channels.

TVPlayer Kids - Our new smaller channel pack with channels for kids!

BoxNation - Available as a single purchase, the channel of champions!

Updates
You can now upgrade your subscription package between our different packs.

Plus Lite is the Viacom entertainment, A&E and Discovery channels including Eurosport 1 and 2 for £5.99

UKTV, Sony, VICELAND, Ginx and the Asian channels are £7.99pm on top, an increase of £2pm for new customers.

Kids pack is £1.99pm

Boxnation is £12pm.

As I'm on another free trial (AMAZON10 for a £10 voucher if signing up), some channels on TV Player Plus are now in 720p HD.

These are:

Lifetime
History
Crime & Investigation
Ginx eSports TV

Add Viceland and Colors to the 720p list - although the A&E channels (excluding H2) and Ginx are at 1080p on TVPlayer. Surprising to say the least.

Universal, Syfy, E! and Movies24 (currently Christmas 24) have been added to TVPlayer Plus.

I'm surprised they're on the basic TV Player Plus Lite package for £5.99 and the licensing for these channels are for all platforms.

Incidentally, local tv channel Notts TV has also been added as a FTA channel!

With the addition of the NBCUniversal channels on TVPlayer - it can be safely said that most of the major pay TV channels have found a place on at least either NOW TV/TVPlayer, or both.

Only thing that is needed is for the UKTV Pay channels to become available on other devices supporting TVPlayer.

I agree that TVPlayer at long last has the majority of major second tier pay tv Entertainment channels. It's the UKTV licensing issue that still lets it down and for new customers have to pay £2 extra per month to only watch them on a PC, phone or tablet.

There's a few more channels apparently coming to TVPlayer as well, according to sources on CableForum - TCM is tipped to come soon, and there are rumblings of speculation that they're negotiating with BT, who are apparently interested in seeing BT Sport and AMC on TVPlayer.

One thing is for sure - TVPlayer are shaping up to be a credible competitor in the UK Pay TV space. They aren't messing around.

I may just keep my legacy sub if they get TCM on all platforms.

Recording is to be included for PLUS users. For additional storage will be an extra £5pm.

According to the a516 article, only the pay tv channels will have this facility, so you won't be able to record the FTA channels.

Recording prices are £5pm for 50 hours, £4 for 100 and £5 for 100 across 16 premium channels. However there is a 75% discount if use the code RECORDING75.

Fail Army has been added as a channel.
