Transmitters at Sea

Recently on a trip to Blackpool we noticed that there were two very tall transmitters out at sea - near the two wind farms in the Irish Sea. One is closer to shore than the other. Does anybody have a clue what they are? I've tried Google and nothing.

Could well be for the anemometers and telemetry antennas for the wind turbines themselves

Blackpool born-and-bred here but not lived there for about 8 years so not sure they were there at the time. Whereabouts in Blackpool were you? The Fylde coast is quite long
