Samsung Smart TV: Weird ITV Player Problem

I've been trying to watch Coronation Street through the ITV Player app on a Samsung Smart TV. The programme plays without a problem, however for the last few occasions I've faced a problem in instances where two episodes have aired on the same night.

When trying to watch either episode, it is actually the second episode that plays every time, despite the separate programmes being listed correctly.

For example, when searching for Coronation Street on Friday 21st February there are two episodes: shown at 7:30 and 8:30 respectively. However if I select the 7:30 episode it plays the 8:30 episode- both episodes are the same.

This has happened several times and it is always the case that when two episodes are on the same day, both options always play the later episode only. I've emailed ITV about this however I just thought I'd see if anyone else had experienced this problem or knows why it might be happening?

I also have a Samsung Smart TV and have seen exactly the same problem with Coronation Street on ITV Player. I got round it by installing the STV Player app and entering a postcode in central or northern Scotland (e.g. Aberdeen). You can then watch Coronation Street on that.

I don't think the problem is unique to Samsung - I had the same issue with a BT Vision box.

Thanks for that- I'll try the STV workaround. It's weird that ITV either aren't aware of this or haven't bothered to do anything about it yet, since I'm sure it's one of the more popular programmes which people watch on ITV Player! Confused
