Can someone look at SS News, I think it's now gone 50fps haven't watched for a while, for obvious reasons, the bottom line crawler is definately smoother than I can recall watching previously.

Looks like it's still 25fps here when looking at the Breaking News ticker. Not helped that they're repeating The Football Show, complete with 30fps webcams at 4pm.

It's the one channel not marked as 'HD' so I suspect not. The ticker looks a little jarred. It's also not available on the BTTV YouView NOWTV app.

Meanwhile the Entertainment TV Guide has been rejigged

Sky One
S Witness
S Atlantic
Gold
Comedy Central
Sky Comedy
S Documentaries
SYFY
Sky Crime
S Arts
Fox
Sky Nature
S History
MTV
National Geographic
Sky News

is the new order.

I watched Ian King Live through the Now TV guide and it has the green tint shown on the logo on Sky News SD and on the apps which are 720p.

However I suspect it's 1080p/25 because it showed way too much detail on Emma Crosby's face and the appalling lighting in the Sky News studio at CNBC which I didn't notice when watching in 720p using the Sky News app.

How does it compare to the YouTube feed?

It's smoother than the YouTube feed which is 1080p/30fps which has motion judder. YouTube for some reason only allows you to stream live at 30fps.

The YouTube feed is also a special version of Sky News International without commercials and has inserted filler. NOW TV's is identical to Sky News linear in the UK with ads and trailers. I'd assume if Sky News has also been added to NOW TV Ireland that it's the Irish feed with Irish commercials.
