Took the plunge today and got a Sky Sports month pack for a £16.99 introductory offer. Works fine on my Samsung TV and my NVidia Shield K1 tablet. Took a couple of attempts to get it working on my laptop but after installing the NOWTV App from the Windows Store it got going no problems. Even managed to hook up my spare TV via HDMI to my laptop to put it on a bigger screen.

Plan to "not renew" in a month in hope of getting a further discount....

I took a Sky Cinema pass for free a couple of months ago, when it expired I cancelled it and I was offered £5 per month for 3 months, I think the cancellation offers appear to be standard.

It depends. I started getting cancellation offers after having the passes for a couple of months. When I cancelled the Cinema Pass recently, I was offered no offers, then after buying another pass and cancelling, I was offered £7.99 for four months, which I declined.

The cheapest retention deals I've had from NOW TV are £3.50 for the Entertainment Pass for four months and £3.99 for Sky Cinema, also for four months.

I'd keep an eye on eBay for passes being sold by customers who get them with the box packs and then sell them to make money from buying the boxes. Recently I paid £2 each for a month's Entertainment and Cinema passes, also £5.99 for two months Entertainment. I haven't paid full price for a NOW TV pass for at least three years.

Begrudgingly must give kudos to Now TV. Their Windows app works lovely and is very intuitive. Even scrolling my wheel on my mouse moves the interface left and right.... Picture quality wise... it seems a little bit juddery (the scrolling text on Sky Sports News doesn't look great) but that's no bother really.

Works fine for me as I've adjusted my PC and monitor output to 50Hz.

The only complaint with the Windows 10 app is that you have to use it full size, so can't multi-task.
