'Creative' Camera Shots

One hell of a Stedicam shot... although I do feel for the chap on follow focus too.

I saw that video in last year's Eurovision thread, and I think anyone can appreciate how impressive that shot is, both in terms of the technical side, and the actual result. I can never just watch that video once - it's great stuff.

I honestly don't think I've seen anything better. The mix of the flawless transition from segway to running around the singer, all the while maintaining perfect framing and focus. It's just epic. (Although if anyone has examples I'd love to see them.

If I ever do a Steadicam shot as good as that I'll consider my learning over. Right now I'm wobbly as hell.

Hear hear - someone put this on my wall a while back, my only response could be "this guy is .. he's my god!". BUT this is his thing - Segway/Steadicam work is what made him, and the thing he does the best. In the same way as turning the exposure handle the wrong way is mine.
