Breakfast News posted:
How will BBC News cover the funeral?

Will Breakfast end at 8.30, with a BBC News Special following - does anyone know?

I think that would be the most logical solution. I wonder who's going to be commentating? Confused

My money is on Jeremy Beadle. Remember him? Actually, I doubt you would seeing as you were only born in 1996. Rolling Eyes

.................. and you have the cheek to accuse me of ''trawling through the archive like some demented mole'' and writing pointless comments. ''Go away you sad, smelly and extremely anoying cretin!''
Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Also, please learn how to spell before you start insulting me, i.e. the word ''annoying'' is spelt ''A.N.N.O.Y.I.N.G'' not ''A.N.O.Y.I.N.G.''

.............. and you also have the cheek to assume I was ''born in 1996'' when you have the spelling ability of someone who was born in 2001.

If you're going to insult me, please do it properly. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Natasha Kaplinsky to Stay at BBC for £500,000

BBC WORLD posted:
Newscasters shouldn't discuss their nuptials live on air. It is not becoming, BBC!!!!!!!!!!

(Oops silly me, I forgot, Natasha is not a newscaster, she is an all round variety entertainer who happens to front Breakfast.................... )

Before you start slating Natasha, she was trying to stop Dermot from saying it but he persisted, it was only for about 7 seconds and she was very embarassed.

Yes, She should be on News 24 more often. She's an extremely good presenter.

Why have you dragged up a thread that hasn't been replied to for nearly 4 months, just to add a pointless comment?

You must spend your time trawling through the archive like some demented mole. Go away you sad, smelly and extremely anoying cretin!

Best and worst BBC Regional TV studios

Gavin Scott posted:
Go on then, one of you cap-happy people show me what Oxford looks like.

Reporting Scotland's long awaited refresh was disappointing to say the least, but it the studio really is tiny, and so limited in choices. Trying to design for two programmes left Newsnight Scotland the clear winner. Shame, but not the end of the world. I look forward to the move to Pacific Quay.

From all of the caps and clips I have seen, I most prefer the Midlands Today set. Its really quite impressive.

i don't think the Reporting 'Scotland studio is as bad as everyone here says it is. It's not the best (BBC London News and the Look North (Leeds) studios are the best) but it's not the worst.

Sophie , the new Queen of BBC News Goodbye Moira!

BBC WORLD posted:
Yup - Fiona IS stern. Too stern.

If you think Fiona is stern, you should try listening to Maxine Mawhinney when she presents the news on BBC News 24. She sounds like an army major when she reads the news especially when she reads a summary of the main headlines. Sometimes I have to turn the volume of my TV down because she shouts instead of speaking. Shocked
