CBS News Weekend - From Chicago with new Intro

It matches the network’s rather nice new on-air look, which is something I’ve been hoping the US networks would do for some time.

Christmas TV 2020

It might be to do with Spider-Man being distributed via Sony rather than Disney... even though it’s counted as MCU

Yet ITV have the rights to The Amazing Spider-Man films, which were produced AND distributed by Sony, doesn't add up to me.

...they paid for them?

Coronation Street

If today’s ITV3 episode is anything to go by, the Compare The Market sponsorship has ended, as there was no sponsor today.

Also worth noting that BritBox has added a number of Christmas episodes of Corrie today too. I note that the Christmas 1985 episode they’ve added is a Granada Plus edit.

Mentioned here already. ITV have an new sponsor in place already (according to a mysterious insider on this forum) and have seemingly deliberately left a period between the expiry of the old contract and the beginning of the new one.

The Sport Thread

RR posted:
Sky don't have any Olympic rights. The entire European rights are with Discovery (who own Eurosport) until 2024, with the exception that 2020 rights had been sold in France and the UK - and the UK rights holder (the BBC) has done a deal with Discovery across the years. Any other rights are sub-let from Discovery - e.g. to adhere to local listed events rules.

I thought the Olympics legally have to be on free-to-air in the UK?
