BBC News 24

I tuned in just at the end of the weather and I thought I heard her say "here's your tune". I did wonder...but now I know why.

Did the presenters actually state that they were going to play the new countdown music in full then?

Big Brother 7

BBUK Site is one of the better fansites actually... certain others (Thinking of one in Particular... but I won't name names. You all know who I'm talking about!) copy and paste most of their news from the Channel 4 press website, just pausing to add "EXCLUSIVE" or "You heard it here first!" along the way.

I'd rather articles were made using FMs info, than outright stolen. Smile

Isn't that what most news services do? Report what other agencies have confirmed as fact!

Does anyone know why Natasha was presenting 6 o'clock news by herself tonight?

She wasn't - George anchored the first part of the programme from Pinner, where Norman Kember lives.

ah, thanks. I missed the first part of the programme; train was late.

BBC Breakfast

BBC LDN posted:
Am I hallucinating, or is that a purple sofa I see on Breakfast this morning?

Have you not be warned about those late night sessions before Smile ?

Not just a purple sofa, but it looks like the background has had some of it's panels changed.

No dirty white panels with lots of mucky handprints in sight. Just a panoramic of the fake complex behind them now.

"BBC TWO is changing"

mulder posted:
OK, this guy seems to think there is something going to happen at 6am. What is he on about? Is there anything in this? I mean, we know something new is going to be on screen, but what is going to happen exactly? I'll set the VCR just in case I suppose....

I heard on BBC 2 on a advert about a change at 6 Am tommorow Morning

Oh, and as for the website, my laptop just grinds to a halt for some reason on that one.

He was correct something did happen at 6am

- Handover to Ceefax.

Although there is a hint on here that there might be something "vaguely interesting" happening today.

Is it anything to do with the ticker?

No 0930 in the morning - no World news.

That's a bit disappointing, I used to like that bit too. Sad

The reason I mentioned the ticker was that I noticed that the section under the tower no longer revolves to display a single word headline story - a nice idea, but it never seemed to work on-screen.

Sky News

tvmercia posted:
how odd - at about 5 past 4 the clock suddenly flicked back to 1:05. the ticker also flicked to display a different part of the cycle at the same time.

At that time of day sky news is recorded. The ticker/clock you caught a glimpse of was from the bulletin that they were rebroadcasting.

Martin's show is really enjoyable so far...

Have to agree; this morning has to be some of the best TV to come out of the new Sky News studios. Even Sunrise seemed far more professional today.
